Whether you’re a freelancer, a seasoned pro, or just getting started – if you’ve got drive, curiosity, and a love for clever solutions, we want to hear from you.
We don’t care where you studied, how many years you’ve been doing this, or how shiny your CV is. We care that you care: about the work, about the people you’re working with, and about finding better, smarter ways to get things done.
Made Nice is growing. That means there’s space to carve out your role, bring new ideas to the table, and help shape the kind of place you want to work in. We back each other, we move fast, we experiment, we simplify, and we show up with heart.

Who With: Founder or Senior Team Member
How long: 30 minutes
Here, we’ll take a closer look at your work, skills, and experiences. For designers, we’ll review your portfolio and discuss your design process. For other roles, we’ll dive into how you approach challenges, manage projects, and work with others. We’ll also talk about your drive, work ethic, and the kind of person you are—getting to know each other better and making sure we’re on the same page with values and goals.
Who With: 2 Team Members (Role-specific)
How long: 1 hour
Depending on the role, we may give you a small task to complete. For creative roles, this might be a design exercise; for others, it could be a case study or a task relevant to the position. This helps us understand your problem-solving, creativity, and approach to real-world challenges.
Who With: Just you, this is an independent task
How long: Flexible (based on task & your availability)
If everything aligns, we’ll make you an offer. We’ll walk through the details of the role, compensation, and next steps. Our goal is to ensure a fair, competitive, and transparent offer from the start.
Who With: Hiring Manager or Leadership
How long: 15 minutes tops
Our process is designed to be clear and relaxed. We’ll start with an introductory chat, followed by a deeper conversation around your experience, skills, and approach. Depending on the role, there may be a small task, and if there’s a strong fit, we’ll move toward an offer.
For some roles, yes. For creative positions, this might be a small design task. For others, it could be a case study or problem-solving exercise. It’s always tailored to the role and relevant to the work you’d actually be doing.
We keep tasks as focused and manageable as possible, and they’re designed to benefit both sides. It gives you a real sense of the work and how we operate, while helping us understand your thinking and approach beyond a conversation. The goal is to make sure it’s the right fit for both of us before making any big decisions.
Typically between one to two weeks, depending on availability and the role. We aim to keep things moving and will keep you updated throughout so you always know where you stand.
We aim to provide feedback within a few days after your final interview or task submission. If you’re progressing, we’ll outline next steps clearly. If not, we’ll provide helpful feedback where possible.
For creative roles, bring your portfolio and be ready to talk through your process, not just the final output. We’re particularly interested in how you think, iterate, and solve problems.
For all roles, come prepared with examples of how you’ve approached challenges, communicated with others, and delivered outcomes.
Not perfectly. We look for alignment in work ethic, mindset, and how you collaborate, but we value different perspectives and experiences. Bringing your own point of view is a strength, not a requirement to fit a mould.
If there’s a strong mutual fit, we’ll move forward with an offer and onboarding plan. If not, we’ll close things out respectfully and keep the door open for future opportunities where it makes sense.
Made Nice is a design-led brand and web studio focused on creating thoughtful, high-performing digital experiences. We care about clarity, quality, and outcomes, not just aesthetics. Our work blends strategy, design, and development to help brands show up with confidence and convert with intent.
Our culture is built on trust, collaboration, and a genuine care for the work we produce. We’re a small but growing team, so everyone has a voice and a real impact. We value clear communication, attention to detail, and people who take ownership, while keeping things flexible, supportive, and human.
We offer a flexible working environment across remote, hybrid, and in-office setups. Our team is primarily remote, with some team members working hybrid from our Auckland office, and a base available in Papamoa for those who prefer an office environment.
For certain roles, particularly those that benefit from in-person collaboration or mentorship, we may lean towards a more hybrid approach. That could mean time in one of our offices, or working from a shared workspace in your local area. Ultimately, we aim to find the right balance based on the role and the individual.
We look for people who are proactive, detail-oriented, and genuinely care about doing great work. Strong communication and a collaborative mindset go a long way here. Beyond skills, we value curiosity, ownership, and the ability to think beyond the brief.
Yes. As a growing studio, there’s real opportunity to develop your skills and take on more responsibility over time. Whether through mentorship, hands-on experience, or expanding your role, we aim to create an environment where you can progress in a meaningful way.
Our work spans branding, websites, and digital experiences across a range of industries. You’ll typically be involved in projects that combine strategy, design thinking, and execution, rather than siloed, repetitive tasks.
Absolutely. We value potential, mindset, and attitude just as much as experience. If you’re motivated and excited about the work, we’d encourage you to apply.
We list current opportunities at the bottom of this page, as well as on platforms like LinkedIn and Seek. If there’s a role that feels like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you.
If we don’t have any open positions at the time, you’re still welcome to reach out and send through your CV, qualifications, and portfolio (where applicable). We may have freelance or contract opportunities available, smaller project-based work, or we can keep your details on file for future roles that align with your experience.
The process is a two-way street. You’ll get a clear sense of how we work, what we value, and what the role involves. By the end, you should feel confident in whether it’s the right move for you as well.
From time to time, yes. While many roles require experience, we do bring on junior team members or interns when the timing is right. If you’re early in your career and eager to learn, we’d still love to hear from you.
Definitely. We regularly collaborate with freelancers and contractors across design, development, and content. If you’re interested, feel free to reach out and share your work.
Flexibility means working in a way that supports both you and the team. For many, that’s fully remote. For others, it’s hybrid or using a local workspace. We focus on outcomes and communication rather than rigid hours, while still making sure collaboration and deadlines are well supported.
Come for the Role, Stay for the Vibes
We believe in the power of great people. If you’ve got the skills, the drive, and the passion, we’d love to connect. Even if we don’t have a role open right now, we’re always interested in meeting talented individuals who can help us push boundaries and create amazing work. Send us your CV, and let’s see what we can build together.
